FAQs
How are the panels packaged, and how will I receive them?
Each carton contains two securely packed panels inside a sturdy cardboard box.
How do I install these panels?
Installation methods depend on the type of surface. Below are the recommended approaches:
1. Gluing directly onto the wall:
Use a strong grab adhesive for this method.
2. Screwing the panels onto your surface:
Choose the appropriate screw color based on the backing—black screws for black backing and silver or grey screws for grey backing. Secure each panel with at least nine screws, evenly spaced along its width and length. When installing on ceilings, ensure the screws go into ceiling joists and use the correct fixings for your surface.
3. Mounting onto timber battens:
This method is ideal for enhancing sound insulation or creating space for hiding wiring and pipes. For the best sound absorption, fix 45mm timber battens to the wall and attach the panels onto them. Adding sound-absorbing insulation behind the panels can further improve acoustics. These panels are intended for indoor use only.
What surfaces can the panels be installed on?
The panels can be mounted on various surfaces, including brick, concrete, and plasterboard.
How should I clean the panels?
To remove surface dust, use a microfiber cloth. For scuffs or marks, simply wipe them off with a damp cloth.
Can the panels be used outdoors?
No, these panels are not designed for outdoor use.
Are the panels suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, they can be installed in these areas as long as they are not exposed to direct water contact. For added durability, we recommend applying a water-resistant finish to the slats.
What type of finish is applied to the panels?
The panels feature a professionally applied satin oil finish, ensuring an even, high-quality coating.
How can I conceal the panel edges?
The panels are designed to have an exposed edge, but if you prefer a flush finish, you can trim the excess felt. Since the slats are uniformly colored, cut edges will blend seamlessly with the rest of the panel.
How do I install panels around sockets, windows, or other fixtures?
Installation around wall-mounted fixtures is simple. Use a sharp saw to cut through the slats and a utility knife for the felt, ensuring a precise fit around sockets and windows.
Can wires be hidden behind the panels?
Yes! If you need access to wiring, we recommend mounting the panels on wooden battens.
Can I order samples?

Do you offer custom panel sizes or designs?
We provide a selection of standard sizes that accommodate most projects. These panels can be easily trimmed to fit specific dimensions and seamlessly joined for larger installations.
